Radiofrequency (Face & Body) |
|
With age comes wisdom, but also wrinkles, loss of skin tightness and a less-than-firm complexion. Many skin imperfections that come with age result from elastin and collagen loss. Both these substances are responsible for enhancing skin flexibility and resistance. Several methods exist to stimulate connective tissue cells (fibroblasts) to produce collagen and elastin. Unlike any other device, the Infinity RF combines bipolar radiofrequency and phototherapy to achieve unparalleled anti-ageing results.
What is Radiofrequency?
The term radiofrequency refers to the transmission of electromagnetic waves. These waves are able to penetrate the skin and increase ion movement within. This action, which creates heat within the tissue, is known as the “endothermic effect”. Just like microwave reheats foods. The internal heat activates each individual cell’s energy potential and produces important biological effects.
These waves are non-ionizing, which means that although they are able to stimulate the tissues they penetrate, there is no risk of mutation. In fact, they do not create sufficient energy to remove a single electron from an atom. Consequently, their use is completely safe.
Results
The use of radiofrequency in skin treatments produces and endothermic effect; a first step which allows other processes to follow, for example: a stimulation f microcirculation, an increase of oxygen and nutrients to the cells and, consequently, a more rapid and active cell metabolism. The elimination of stagnant liquids and toxins is equally facilitated, which allows for effective drainage. At the epidermis level, wrinkles are smoothed out; an effect that persists even after the treatment.
Immediate and Long Term Effect
The results of radiofrequency are long-lasting. In fact, electromagnetic waves also have an effect on the dermis and connective tissue. By actively stimulating the fibroblasts, they contribute to achieving firmer skin. The production of collagen and elastin fibers is stimulated, which gradually leads to an increase in the quantity and diameter of these fibers. Consequently, the skin recovers its tone, since the collagen and elastin fibers are more numerous, more voluminous, better structured and healthier.
After only a few treatments, the skin is visibly more radiant and tighter. Its texture shows improvement, wrinkles are smoothed out and any areas that required toning are noticeably firmer.
